Mckenzie Arnold - Proclamation of the accession of King Charles III

A ceremony took place in Oxford on 11th September to commemorate the proclamation of the accession of King Charles III. A big thank you to our amazing team members at McKenzie Arnold who contributed to the security and crowd management on this historic event.”

McKenzie Arnold Group were extremely honoured to provide security and visitor management services for this historic event.

We deployed a team of over 1300 security officers and stewards across Buckingham Palace and surrounding areas including Westminster Abbey, The Mall, St James’ Park, Green Park, and Hyde Park.

During this time, over 3,000 shifts were undertaken over the 10-day mourning period, and the result was a seamless and highly professional service given the short turnaround times we were working with.

Priti meets up with leading Witham based national event security firm

Great to see some good press following our Head of Operations and Managing Directors meeting with Priti Patel, the MP for Witham, last week.

The three met on Tuesday 16th August to discuss the key issues affecting the security business. One of the main topics of conversation was local government contracts and the difficulties smaller businesses face in trying to win such work when up against companies deemed to be larger and more experienced, by virtue of the size of their turnover.

During the discussions, it was agreed that more needs to be done to recognise the talent and capability available in smaller businesses, to ensure that they are able to compete fairly for governmental security contracts.

Commenting after the meeting, Priti said: “I will be looking into the process for tendering for governmental contracts relating to the events industry. McKenzie Arnold are first class providers in the business of event security and it is only right that their extensive experience and skills should be recognised in the tender process.”

We are extremely proud of what our son Wesley is doing with his company McKenzie Arnold in taking aid over to the Ukraine to help people less fortunate than ourselves.

They are on there way again on Wednesday with even more aid and as long as people keep donating to help cover the cost of transporting this Humanitarian aid this will continue.
