The London Notting Hill Carnival is one of the largest Carnivals in the World and the largest event in London. The event has taken place every year since 1964 on the streets of Notting Hill, through Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, each August Bank Holiday weekend. The Carnival attracts over 1 million visitors.
McKenzie Arnold was successfully awarded the contract for the supply of the stewarding operation for Notting Hill Carnival in 2013 and has successfully delivered the stewarding operation to date.
In 2016 McKenzie Arnold delivered the following;
• 2,500 Steward shifts over the Carnival period
• Further developed stakeholder partnerships
• Provided welfare packs for all stewards including sunglasses, sun cream, waterproof macs and a lunch
• Further developed the already robust stewarding plan
•Developed Event wide communications over 4 square miles
• Reduced the pressure on the Police to manage the busy areas of carnival
• Delivered free NVQL2 spectator safety training to 20 carnivalists
•Provided a GPS tracking system to manage floats on the route

They were able to offer alternatives and solutions in a challenging and often fluid planning process and were flexible enough in their approach to recognise developing issues and alter their approach accordingly. In what is traditionally one of the most challenging stewarding and security environments they shone through and their efforts and effectiveness were positively recognised by our partner agencies, particularly the Metropolitan Police Service.”

With the news that Donington Park has been taken over by the MSV group we have already seen some huge investments already including a new tarmac surface in the paddock. MAG is delighted to be associated with the MSV group and to continue its 15 year relationship with the Donington Park Circuit. The calendar for 2018 already looks busier than 2017, with the British Superbike Championship, British Touring Cars and World Superbikes Championship already solidly penned into the Diary.
Once again the McKenzie Arnold management team volunteered to attend the annual Presidents Sporting Club Christmas lunch for 600 disabled children. The team got there at 7am and joined the 50 other volunteers. Dean and Mo managed the car and coach park, Martin and Tracy Urand assisted with packing the goodie bags and decorating the venue. Martin Jackson said "It's a privilege to help with the running of the day, and its great for our team to give up their time at Christmas for such a great charity. its definitely the best event of the year".
The Mckenzie Arnold Group is delighted to announce that it has achieved Approved Contractor Status with the Security Industry Authority for Manned Guarding and for Door Supervision. Managing Director Mike Jackson commented 'We are delighted to join the Approved Contractors Scheme, achieving Approved Contractor Status is testament to the quality of work that the MAG team has completed this year, special thanks must go to Martin Urand in getting MAG across the line but the whole team has been exceptional this year.
We are delighted to announce that the Managing Director Mike Jackson MBE was invited by the Prime Ministers office to attend the turning on of the Christmas Tree at No 10 Downing Street. Mike and his wife Helen was asked to attend with 3 children from the special schools that his charity supports for the grand ceremony. Fortunately the MAG team where on hand to assist. CP officer Godfrey Edwards volunteered to collect Mike and the disabled children in one of the McKenzie Arnold minibuses and drive them to 10 Downing Street.
