Crowd
Safety Guidelines
Unfortunately
the buzz of being in a large crowd of people can also turn on its
head and become a very frightening place to be and it is for this
reason that Event Security Companies are warning people who are
planning on going to an event to think about crowd safety before
attending. Regardless of the type of event you are planning to attend,
you will definitely benefit from reading through the Crowd Safety
Guidelines outlined below.
If you are thinking of attending an event in the near future then
why not take a few moments to look through some of our crowd safety
guidelines?
1)
The first thing to be aware of before you attend any event is that
crowds can be a dangerous place to be and can quickly grow out of
control. Ensure that although your attention may be on enjoying
yourself, you always remain aware of your surroundings.
2) On arriving at an event always check for the location of any
emergency exits. Plan which exit you would go to in the event of
an emergency.
3) Speak to your friends about the exits and make a plan of where
to meet outside the venue should anything occur.
4) Consider where the barriers are when you first arrive at the
event and think about how easily they may be overcome if needed.
5) Remain aware of your environment by controlling the intake of
alcohol.
6) Should you fall in the crowd try to curl into a ball and protect
your head with your arms.
7) In the event of a fire crawl along the ground under the smoke
level.
8) Never re-enter an evacuated building for personal belongings.
9) No matter what happens, try to remain calm and don't panic.
